Haleakala Summit

One of my favorite places in Maui! Drive to the summit and elope above the clouds!

hike:

We can do a longer hike but I recommend driving up and then sticking to the lookouts which are usually 2min-10min. It is much colder up here so think lots of snuggles, wrapping up in a cute blanket for a few shots, and hopping in and out of the car to stay warm in between shots!

Distance from Lahaina:

1hr 45min

Please Note:

I have not photographed in this location but have been here many times, and I can pull the permits for photos for you through the National Park :) These examples are from my colleague.

Makena Cove

About:

A beautiful beach with palm trees and some black lava rock wonderful for a simple sunrise ceremony. The cove is small so I strongly recommend shooting at sunrise here to avoid the crowds later in the day.

Hana Locations

About:

Hana is an adventure to get to in itself…the Road to Hana is a popular activity to do while visiting Maui! Be prepared for winding roads, possible stops and traffic, but amazing waterfalls, jungle and views along the way! If you are wanting to elope here, I strongly recommend finding accommodation near Hana, and staying for at least 2-3 nights! Otherwise I would schedule a full day to explore. Check out my accommodations guide to explore places to stay!
